vetiver,the wonder grass

Do you know that our government spends millions and millions of rupees to protect the coastal line and river banks.But the result is obvious.Why cant we try the grass vetiver for the same purpose?It has got such a powerful root system that it prevents the soil from running down to the sea.You can plant it anywhere and everywhere.It will hold your land for you.Try it please.
